This blog is just about my life and mostly revolves around my son, Jamie. This blog is a combination of everything, whether it may be a new recipe I tried, a good freebie I found, something funny Jamie said, or feelings I'm having about life in general. There's little rhyme or reason. I'll never win any blogging awards, but I enjoy writing about our lives and I mostly do it for my son. It's so easy to forget moments over the years. I've got all these little tidbits of our life in print and I hope that someday Jamie can enjoy them.

I called this blog Mother of Life, Mother of Loss because of my issues with pregnancy loss and the joy of finally bringing this wonderful person into the world. Truly, I feel the pains of loss, but you won't see too much of that here. I am blessed and I am, above all else, a mother of life.

After all the years of infertility and loss, Matthew and I were blessed with a surprise pregnancy. We were pregnant with twins, but unfortunately, Baby A could not stay with us. Baby B grew into a healthy and happy baby girl that we named Bella Marie. We are so blessed to have two beautiful children.

Waiting for School

I've reached that critical point in the night/morning that I've passed my chance to sleep. I stayed up and made the cupcakes, filled the treat bags, made custom tags for them, and addressed Valentine's cards. When I was done I needed to shower. Now I sit with rollers in my hair and time to kill before the alarm goes off in nearly two hours.

Jamie's really excited that he gets to go back to school tomorrow. He's even more excited that I'm going with him. He was bouncing off the walls tonight. I thought I'd never get him to go to sleep. He didn't go to sleep until after 11:00pm. Can you believe that?

I finally got to watch The Secret Life of Bees. I'd been wanting to see it since it came out in theaters. I just never got the chance to go. A week ago I went ahead and bought it. Matthew wanted to watch it, too, so I had to wait for him to be available to watch it with me. We also needed Jamie to be in bed so we could watch it without interruption. I think it was a pretty good adaptation from the book. Often movies really suck if you read the book first. The story line followed the book pretty well so it was not disappointing.

I guess I'll go watch TV until time to get Jamie and Matthew up.
