This blog is just about my life and mostly revolves around my son, Jamie. This blog is a combination of everything, whether it may be a new recipe I tried, a good freebie I found, something funny Jamie said, or feelings I'm having about life in general. There's little rhyme or reason. I'll never win any blogging awards, but I enjoy writing about our lives and I mostly do it for my son. It's so easy to forget moments over the years. I've got all these little tidbits of our life in print and I hope that someday Jamie can enjoy them.

I called this blog Mother of Life, Mother of Loss because of my issues with pregnancy loss and the joy of finally bringing this wonderful person into the world. Truly, I feel the pains of loss, but you won't see too much of that here. I am blessed and I am, above all else, a mother of life.

After all the years of infertility and loss, Matthew and I were blessed with a surprise pregnancy. We were pregnant with twins, but unfortunately, Baby A could not stay with us. Baby B grew into a healthy and happy baby girl that we named Bella Marie. We are so blessed to have two beautiful children.

Crafts I'd Like To Do This Easter

Love her or hate her, Martha Stewart has the greatest craft ideas. I found all kinds of crafts for Easter I really want to do. I'm planning to have a little Easter "party" for the kids. Click on the pictures to be taken to the instructions on MarthaStewart.com.

These bunny boxes are absolutely adorable!

Someone put in the comments that these print out good on regular size card stock as well for candy favor boxes. I'm thinking I'll fill these with jelly beans. I think that would be cute.

I'd like to make these napkin decoupage Easter Eggs this year. I could empty the eggs and we could have a big scrambled egg lunch or I could make french toast with the insides when we do them. It looks like it would be easy for the kids to do. We'll see.

I also thought these animal eggs might be really cute! What I like most about the idea of blown out eggs is that I don't have to worry about keeping them refrigerated. I don't have to worry about one getting lost during an Easter egg hunt.

There's lots of fabulous ideas, but these are the ones I would like to use this year.

Martha Stewart isn't the only place I'm getting ideas for my Easter celebration, though. The April issue of Parents Magazine had some fabulous suggestions for an "Easter Brunch". Click here to see all the ideas. Click on the pictures to go directly to the instructions for making the craft show.
I think I'm going to make these little cards because they are adorable.

I already bought the cookie cutters so I could make these. I just fell in love with these adorable sandwiches the moment I saw them. Ours will likely be turkey and cheese instead of ham. None of us are big ham fans.

We won't be making these, but I fell in love with this, too. I don't have the tea cups to make them and I'm already beyond my Easter budget. I had to mention them, though!
