This blog is just about my life and mostly revolves around my son, Jamie. This blog is a combination of everything, whether it may be a new recipe I tried, a good freebie I found, something funny Jamie said, or feelings I'm having about life in general. There's little rhyme or reason. I'll never win any blogging awards, but I enjoy writing about our lives and I mostly do it for my son. It's so easy to forget moments over the years. I've got all these little tidbits of our life in print and I hope that someday Jamie can enjoy them.

I called this blog Mother of Life, Mother of Loss because of my issues with pregnancy loss and the joy of finally bringing this wonderful person into the world. Truly, I feel the pains of loss, but you won't see too much of that here. I am blessed and I am, above all else, a mother of life.

After all the years of infertility and loss, Matthew and I were blessed with a surprise pregnancy. We were pregnant with twins, but unfortunately, Baby A could not stay with us. Baby B grew into a healthy and happy baby girl that we named Bella Marie. We are so blessed to have two beautiful children.

Good Night. Sleep Tight. Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite.

Jamie has just been so cute tonight. When I get him out of the tub I wrap him in his towel and call him my baby burrito. He usually says, "I'm not a baby burrito. I'm Jamie!" Tonight I wrapped him in his towel and he said, "Pick me up like a burrito!" I said, "Are you my baby burrito?" and he said, "Yes!"

He woke up a few moments ago. As you know we've been having some difficulty with tantrums during the night. He groggily walked to the living room where Matthew and I were just finishing up watching the episode of American Idol we recorded this evening. Rubbing his sleepy little eyes he crawled into my lap and asked for some milk. I went to the refrigerator and got him a cup and he sauntered off to bed. "Come with me, Mommy. I need a kiss." I followed and gave him a kiss goodnight. "Good night. Sleep tight." I said. And he responded with, "Don't let the bed bugs bite." I kissed his head again, but I think he was asleep again before all the words were even out of his mouth.

I didn't realize that our boys were so close together in age. Everything you write about Jamie I think "man, that's so much like Hunter"...come to find out Jamie is 2 days older than Hunter! Amazing! No wonder our stories are so similar! :0)
